What can i see about this movie?? Ranbir Kapoor has definitely become my favourite actor at the moment! He's come a loong way from his debut in terms of acting!
Coming back to the movie, even though you may feel it's story isn't the best, i love it!
The transition of Janadhan Jakhar(Ranbir Kapoor) to Jordan is intriguing! Even though i feel Nargis's acting isn't upto the mark, she did a fairly decent job.
The music of the movie is one of the best in recent times. The song "Saada haq aithe rakh"(which roughly translates to Give us our rights) reflects the current mindset of the indian youth. Imtiaz Ali has produced yet another masterpiece.
Overall, i think rockstar is faar better than what the 2 Khans(Shahrukh and Salman) have come out with(Ra.1 and Bodyguard). You guys should definitely check it out. And the songs too on youtube.

I disagree. I wanted to like this movie and had a feeling that Ranbir was going to deliver a great performance. But, when I saw this movie I couldn't help but dislike it more and more at every turn it took. Nargis can't act, to put it lightly, she was obviously cast for her looks. And Ranbir tried way too hard to convince us he is a Rockstar. He looked like a creep when he was chasing Nargis around and when he is going "mad" he really doesn't have a reason to, or at least not a reason they made clear enough. These college student fell in love going out to a movie? Please, there was no development in the love story to make it believable. This movie could have been great, but it fell short in my opinion. But I will agree with you that it was better than Bodyguard, for sure, and that's coming from a Sallu fan.
