It seems like most of the Indian animated films I've seen are religious stories - why is that? (They're actually useful for a Westerner like me to learn the basics of Hindu sacred stories.) I've heard they're more popular in the overseas market - among Indian parents who want to teach their kids about religion - than in the Indian market.
